Covid Prevention for the Elderly in Barangay 895 in Santa Ana Manila
Prevention and early treatment of mild covid cases have been identified by the IATF as crucial in preventing the cases into escalating into moderate and severe cases thus prevent over- burdening the country's healthcare system.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles co-chairperson of the IATF turns over Cocolicious VCO to Barangay Chairman Romulo Amante, and other barangay officials, for the use of the Home for the Aged of Barangay 895 in Santa Ana, Manila.
Cocolicious CEO Reynaldo Pacheco Jr explained to the elderly the health benefits of VCO as "contra covid" and the simple ways how to use VCO such as mixing in meals, drinking 1 tablespoon during meals, oil pulling (as mouthwash 1tbsp for 10 mins), applying to the nostrils, and rubbing to the skin armpits and neck.
The recent DOST-FNRI VCO Clinical study has proven that VCO is effective on mild covid cases as "anti-infection and anti-inflammatory". Clinical trials for moderate and severe cases are underway in the PGH.
For the elderly, Pacheco added that benefit of ingesting VCO is as "Contra Alzheimers" to reduce dementia symptoms, where VCO as keto food is popular in its use in ketogenic diets in Western countries.
Cocolicious together with the VCOP, the VCO association of producers and traders, has partnered with the IATF to distribute Cocolicious VCO to level 1 hospitals and community isolation facilities.
